Risk Guardian
Your limits keep running when you log off.
A cBot that enforces your loss limits across the whole account, 24/7 on a VPS, and manages the trades you opened from the Risk Manager. It never opens a trade.
Free edition · PRO 39 USD one-time · in review at the cTrader Store

What it adds
Your limits, enforced 24/7.
Also with your computer off.
- Daily and maximum loss, static or trailing, counting open trades, with the reset hour of your choice and daylight saving handled.
- The rest of the rules: weekly loss, profit targets that lock gains, best-day cap, trades per day, losses in a row, a pause after a loss, trading hours, close at a set time.
- When a limit is hit: close everything and block, or only block new trades - optionally before the limit, for example at 90%. The block survives a restart.
- Management from the order: break-even, partial closes and trailing written into each order by the Risk Manager.
- Alerts: a status plate on the chart with the room left today, sound, Telegram and email.
- It never opens a trade. It watches the account, closes and blocks when a limit is crossed, manages what is already open, and tells you.
Rules
Every rule a funded account asks for.
Tighter limits apply now; by default, looser limits wait for the next reset, so editing the settings does not unblock the day. Deposits and withdrawals are not counted as profit or loss. The day resets at midnight UTC, midnight Central European time, 17:00 New York, 17:00 Chicago or an hour you choose.

Better together
The panel decides before the order.
The Guardian keeps watching after you leave.
Each one works on its own and they are sold separately. When you send an order from the Risk Manager, three things travel inside the order itself: the management rules you chose for it, its initial size and its initial risk. The Risk Guardian reads them from the order - on the same computer or on a VPS - and applies them.

| Risk Manager · plugin | Risk Guardian · cBot | |
|---|---|---|
| Size an order from your risk and draw its lines | Yes | No - it never opens trades |
| Check an order against your limits before it is sent | Yes, for orders sent from the panel | — |
| Close and block when a limit is crossed | While cTrader is open on your computer | While it runs - 24/7 on a VPS |
| Break-even, partial closes, trailing | While cTrader is open | While it runs, reading the rules written into each order |
Panel open, Guardian on the same computer
The panel enforces and manages. The Guardian waits and shows the same state.
You close the panel, cTrader stays open
The Guardian takes over, with the same day already counted.
Your computer is off, the Guardian runs on a VPS
It enforces the limits set in its own parameters and runs the break-even, partials and trailing written into each order.
Both manage the same trade
A partial close already done is not repeated.
On a VPS the Guardian keeps its own record of the day: set the same limits in both. The rules travel with the order when it is sent; a change made later in the panel stays on that computer. If neither is running, nothing is enforced - except a broker trailing stop that was already switched on.

Coming soon to the cTrader Store- A cBot cannot stop an order before it opens. Orders placed while you are blocked are closed after they open, and each forced close costs spread and commission. The check before sending is a feature of the Risk Manager panel.
- It cannot stop another cBot running on a different chart.
- It manages only trades opened from the Risk Manager with rules. Trades opened elsewhere are still covered by your limits.
- If the VPS or computer running it is off, nothing is enforced. A stop does not protect you from a price gap.
The rules are generic: you set them to match your firm’s daily limit base, reset time and static or trailing maximum loss. Check your firm’s current rules and enter them yourself. There are no functions to hide anything from a broker or a prop firm, and nothing is randomised.
Questions
Does it open trades?
Never. It closes and blocks when a limit is crossed and manages trades that are already open. Every order function in it is switched off.
Why run it on a VPS?
Because a limit only protects you while something is watching. On a VPS the Guardian keeps enforcing your limits with your own computer switched off.
Do I need the Risk Manager?
No. The Guardian enforces your limits on any trade. With the Risk Manager it also runs the break-even, partial closes and trailing that the panel writes into each order.
Does restarting it unblock the day?
No. The state is saved: restarting the cBot, or removing it and adding it again, does not unblock the day.
Questions? We answer every message.
Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. This is software that applies the rules you set; it is not investment advice and does not guarantee that a loss limit is never exceeded - prices can gap and orders can slip.
