Risk Manager
Set your risk once.
Every order sized to it, drawn on the chart, and checked against your loss limits before it is sent. If it does not fit, it is not sent - and the panel offers the largest size that does.
Free edition · PRO 85 USD one-time · in review at the cTrader Store

What it adds
Size it, draw it, check it.
Before the order leaves.
- Size from risk. % of balance or a fixed amount (PRO: also % of equity, % of free margin, % of an amount you choose, or fixed lots). Stop and target in pips or by dragging lines (PRO: also price, %, ATR or money).
- The check before sending. It adds what every open trade and pending order would lose at its stop, plus the new one. If that crosses your daily or total limit, the order is not sent and the panel offers the size that fits.
- Limits on the whole account. Daily and maximum loss in Free; weekly loss, trailing maximum loss, profit targets, best-day cap, trades per day, losses in a row, max open risk and trading hours in PRO.
- Trade management (PRO). Break-even, partial closes and trailing per trade, chosen in the ticket or later. The broker’s trailing stop keeps running with cTrader closed.
- Results (PRO). Equity curve in money or %, daily P&L, win rate, profit factor, by symbol, weekday and hour.
- Where you want it. Side panel, bottom tab, a page of its own or a separate window. English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian.
The ticket
The right size, before you click.
Market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders. Before you send: size, risk in money and %, target, R:R, pip value, margin, commission and the swap for 1, 2 and 3 nights. The size is always rounded down.

Positions
Every trade, under control.
Entry, stop, target, R:R and current R for each trade, and the balance you would keep if every stop were hit. Close all, winners, losers, buys, sells, a symbol, half or move to break-even - each button says first what it will do.

Rules
Your limits, always in sight.
Daily and maximum loss, static or trailing, measured on equity. When one is hit: close everything and block, or only block new trades. Tighter limits apply now; looser ones wait for the next reset. Restarting cTrader does not unblock the day.

Results
See what actually works.
Equity curve with the trade under your cursor, daily P&L, win rate, profit factor and expectancy, filtered by symbol, weekday, hour or label with a click.

Settings
Switch setups in one click.
Presets with all your settings under a name, keyboard shortcuts, values coloured by sign, short or full labels on the chart lines, and alerts by sound, Telegram or email.

Better together
The panel decides before the order.
The Guardian keeps watching after you leave.
Each one works on its own and they are sold separately. When you send an order from the Risk Manager, three things travel inside the order itself: the management rules you chose for it, its initial size and its initial risk. The Risk Guardian reads them from the order - on the same computer or on a VPS - and applies them.

| Risk Manager · plugin | Risk Guardian · cBot | |
|---|---|---|
| Size an order from your risk and draw its lines | Yes | No - it never opens trades |
| Check an order against your limits before it is sent | Yes, for orders sent from the panel | — |
| Close and block when a limit is crossed | While cTrader is open on your computer | While it runs - 24/7 on a VPS |
| Break-even, partial closes, trailing | While cTrader is open | While it runs, reading the rules written into each order |
Panel open, Guardian on the same computer
The panel enforces and manages. The Guardian waits and shows the same state.
You close the panel, cTrader stays open
The Guardian takes over, with the same day already counted.
Your computer is off, the Guardian runs on a VPS
It enforces the limits set in its own parameters and runs the break-even, partials and trailing written into each order.
Both manage the same trade
A partial close already done is not repeated.
On a VPS the Guardian keeps its own record of the day: set the same limits in both. The rules travel with the order when it is sent; a change made later in the panel stays on that computer. If neither is running, nothing is enforced - except a broker trailing stop that was already switched on.

Coming soon to the cTrader Store- Only orders sent from the panel can be checked before they reach your broker. Orders placed elsewhere - the platform’s own ticket, your phone, other cBots - can only be closed after they open, and that costs spread and commission.
- A plugin cannot stop a cBot running on another chart: if one keeps reopening while you are blocked, you get an alert to stop it.
- If cTrader is closed, the panel enforces nothing. For that there is the Risk Guardian on a VPS, or your broker’s own trailing stop.
- A stop does not protect you from a price gap: a limit can be exceeded when price jumps past it.
The rules are generic: you set them to match your firm’s daily limit base, reset time and static or trailing maximum loss. Check your firm’s current rules and enter them yourself. There are no functions to hide anything from a broker or a prop firm, and nothing is randomised.
Questions
Is it a cBot or a plugin?
A cTrader plugin: it lives inside the platform, next to your charts, and trades the symbol of the chart you are on. The Risk Guardian is the cBot.
Does it work with prop firm accounts?
Yes, on any cTrader account, live or demo, personal or funded. You enter your firm’s rules yourself; nothing is preset as “the rules of” a firm.
Why does it count open trades in the daily limit?
Because that is where the damage comes from. In our own portfolio simulation of a funded account, the worst day broke a 5% daily limit while the trades closed that day were in profit: the loss came from trades still open.
What does the Free edition include?
Market orders sized from your risk, the check before every order, the daily and static maximum loss limits and the Positions tab. No time limit, on live and demo accounts.
Questions? We answer every message.
Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. This is software that applies the rules you set; it is not investment advice and does not guarantee that a loss limit is never exceeded - prices can gap and orders can slip.
